I’m in awe of people who are constantly making pretty crafty things. I like to do crafty things but I’m also very lazy when it comes to buying all the supplies and gathering little fussy bits and baubles to create something. I also hate getting glue on my hands.
This clever idea on the sweet paul blog changed my attitude. Everyone has an old, unwanted sweater stuffed in a drawer somewhere. Even if you don’t, thrift shops sell them for next to nothing. Take a vase, cut the sleeve off the sweater, place the vase in the arm and cut off about 2 ” from the bottom. Fold that 2″ in and voila, you have a very stylish winter vase. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this would make a thoughtful gift for your mom or a close friend… don’t forget the flowers!
