dontcha just love the vintage lettering that is currently all the design rage? i do. i’ve always loved this style of lettering. this print really caught my eye. the typography and hand lettering are fabulous. the phrase is oh so adorable!
Fun and funky design. Lisa Bengtsson’s patterns and illustrations are so unique. I’m so inspired by her rather unconventional illustrations and patterns. I’d love to own a set of those zebra plates. Notice the zebra is wearing heels! So unexpected. What would the dinner guests say, I wonder?
To see the rest of her lovely collection of wallpaper, fabrics, pillows and porcelain, visit her website.
I created this typographic art myself using a free downloadable glitter background and text. This was my mantra in my younger, party hard days.
I think I’ll hang it on an inspiration board in my home office as inspiration. An ode to my youth. A reminder to keep my state of mind fresh and current! And when noone is watching… I’ll dance and sing until my mascara runs!
Have a great weekend, whatever you do!
I accidentally found the Etsy Shop Faux Kiss while I was searching the internet for botanical prints. Shop owner Jean Cody makes art in her studio near Portland, Oregon. Her passion is exploring ways in which artwork integrates so curiously with vintage book pages. I love these unique pieces of artwork – especially the whimsical “princess” animals that she creates!
I stumbled across the photography of Natalie Shau while browsing through 500px. Natalie Shau combines photography, digital technology and 3D-modeling, creating strange, mystical and sometimes frightening images.
After watching the totally amazing season finale of Once Upon a Time last night, I feel like sharing these magical, surrealistic photos with you. Each one is a fairy tale…
When I first started this blog, it was my intention to share photos of interior decor. As the blog evolved I discovered that I have many different passions but they all stem from one thing – excellent photography.
So, I hope to share some diverse photos in the future, some recipes, a bit of fashion, a lot of luxe and some DIY projects. I will get a camera and share some of my own photos and stories to personalize this blog. I feel like I am growing and changing everyday and I hope you will continue to visit for some inspiration, a few words of wisdom or to view some whimsical images.

I am currently loving Geninne’s Art Blog. Geninne is a freelance illustrator and designer whose blog is so full of vibrant colours and inspiration galore!
Wooden egg painted with blue acrylic inks and rubbed with a spoon oil. Beautiful tie-dyed top in a warm chocolate brown! Shopping alert: you can buy one of these stunning pillows designed by Geninne here.
I could move into this bedroom in a split second. Gennine made her own pillowcases as soon as her fabric collection called Alegria arrived at her home. She designed the pattern herself. Then she over-dyed the fabric to match her green quilt from CB2. What a perfectionist – just look at the colour match. I’m in awe of her talent – not only as an artist, but she dyes fabrics and sews too! Her fabric collection is sold at Cloud 9 Fabrics.
She also uses thread as a medium, on t-shirts.
Freshly painted rocks to keep papers from flying away in her studio. Stunning detail.
Edgar Allan Poe is one of my favourite authors of all time. I know the movie won’t live up to Poe’s tales of the macabre, but I’m going to see it anyway. Today’s images are inspired by the upcoming movie release of The Raven… dark and eerie… depth and contrast.
I’m a Graphic Designer and when I’m stumped for which colours to use on a new concept, my go-to website is Design Seeds.
Jessica, the master mind behind the palettes began journaling colour in art school, in a sketchbook with pantone chips and labels. Design Seeds is the modern, digital version of her colour combinations.
It is a very valuable tool if you are decorating a room, planning your wedding, choosing a colour scheme for your next design project, or even planning your next outfit. See for yourself!
