It’s only Wednesday and I had to catch up on so much at work – after being on vacation for a week! I feel burned out again.
Do you find work stressful? Do you balance work life and blogging, exercise and trying to make healthy meals – all during the summer? How do you cope?
Right now, my life looks like this…
I know how you feel. With a full-time (read: over-time) job, a blog and a need to keep a healthy lifestyle (exercise and home cooking all nights), I end up wishing every day that the day would have 48 hours just so I could slow down a little …. Then (as in, this minute, as I am writing), I remember that it is up to me to slow down. I was on chemo for about 6 months last year and because of that, I was allowed to work from home. So, I used to take 30 minutes every morning to meditate and somehow, everything slowed down, I felt very relaxed, happy and my day seemed much longer. These days, I don’t really have that luxury of 30 minutes to just sit…. but, just remembering those days makes me want to find those 30 minutes.
I used to meditate too – even 15 minutes a day helps. Thanks for reminding me!
Try to find 15 minutes for yourself, I’m sure you can!

Coffee… That is how I cope… Sometimes you have to plow through…
I wake up early (between 5-6) to read and write…it helps the day start peacefully and is usually the quietest time. Nice blog by the way!
Wow. I admire the dedication. I wake up at 7 and rush to work.
