Monochrome, or black and white photographs are timeless. The right lighting creates powerful contrast and drama that can leave a striking impact on the viewer. Black and white photography often relays a sensitivity or an emotion that colour photos sometimes lack.
I love black and white photographs. I love the fifth one down. Nice collection.
Wow, the fifth one down. When I look at that photo she could either be lonely, or contemplative. Maybe she’s waiting for someone, or maybe she’s out to enjoy a cup of cappuccino by herself. I love the mystery behind the image!
They are all GREAT photographs. To many photographers today are unwilling to accept the kind of traditionally exposed high contrast photos you have made here. Too often so much time is spent post-processing an image to make it “perfectly exposed” the better photo is lost. Good job!
Thanks – I wish I could take photos like this… so many cameras to choose from these days!
An amazing collection. I could stare and stare at these. Thank you!
Thanks! I aspire to take shots like these!
I am drawn to the first one. So eerily fascinating! Great find Mona 🙂
Thank you!
Great series!
Thank you so much!
Your blog has such amazing images. So well done.
Thank you so much for the nice compliment!
hi could you please tell me who did the last image I would like to credit it…the bird and the hand…
Hi Paloma,
Sorry, I haven’t been blogging lately. When I posted that I wasn’t linking my photos properly – it is linked to a Tumblr page so unfortunately I don’t know the source – sorry!
