In 1956, the Tulip collection was created for Knoll by Finnish American architect and industrial designer Eero Saarinen. His rationale behind the design was to “clear up the slum of legs” created by the standard set of table and chairs. Gotta love it!

If you look at a typical interior, you will find an amazing number of legs. Saarinen decided to simplify the design from the start. The tulip table is a classic that comes in many sizes, shapes and colours. It is so versatile and can be used with numerous decor styles from casual to formal, modern, traditional and rustic.
