I started this blog in order to collect or curate beautiful interior decor, design, art, photography etc.
It’s time for me to pick up a camera and post my DIYs and a few other goodies for this blog. I’m new to blogging but I took a photography course years ago with the old school cameras and I know Photoshop on a professional level as a Graphic Designer.
My question is for all the bloggers and photographers out there… what camera do you use? Is a digital camera good enough or should I jump right into a DSLR? Can I get a good Canon digital camera, a tripod and then retouch my images to start with?
I would really, really appreciate your comments!
I would say if you can afford DSLR get a DSLR. It gives you more control when capturing the kind photos you wanted. And the quality is, of course, much better with DSLR. Photoshop can turn your good photos to wow.
Thank you so much for the great advice Kris!!! I really appreciate it!
I completely agree with the DSLR comment above, but I also think the lens you choose is equally important. For years I’ve used a Canon Rebel, but I noticed a huge difference in my photos once I switched from using the lens it came with. My current favorite lens is the Canon 50mm 1.4. Good luck!
That is good advice! I read an article about DSLRs and it emphasized the importance of purchasing a good lens. Thank you so much for commenting!!
